Reason for being in STL

Durga, just 8 years old, lived in a bleak slum with her family of six. Her father’s addiction to alcohol left her mother as the sole provider, bearing the weight of their harsh existence. Their days were a relentless struggle, and Durga felt the weight of their circumstances pressing down on her.

In the midst of this darkness, a glimmer of hope shone when Durga was rescued from her challenging life by  the Shed The Light (STL).

 Durga’s story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the bleakest of circumstances, a rescue can illuminate the way forward. It’s a story of hope and transformation, where the power of a helping hand can change a life, shining a light on a brighter tomorrow.
