Although CL has a background in international development and children and gender, it is her love for Nepal and its people that fires her passion for the projects and activities undertaken by Shed the Light Nepal. During her working contracts and visits to Nepal CL has come to know of the desperate development needs of the country especially the needs of women and children, and she is committed to using her development experience and knowledge to work with Shed the Light to bring about change.
