One of Shed the Light Seniors, Anish Shahi has just completed his School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams at Grace Academy in Kathmandu. The SLC is the final examination in the secondary school system of Nepal and every student must take this examination to complete 10th grade of their study before they join higher secondary or intermediate level education. This examination is known as the ‘iron gate’ in Nepal and is important exam for building an academic career. Anish achieved a result of 79.5%, which puts him in the first division.

Anish is an all-rounder who loves playing football and listening to music. As a member of the Shed the Light PeaceMakers he has been involved in earthquake relief and rehabilitation activities in some of the worst hit Districts. Anish has taken to photography and many of the photos in our Gallery folder of earthquake relief and rehabilitation photos were taken by him.
